How It Works
Private healthcare, explained simply.
Aster is a direct-pay primary care practice. Longer visits, transparent pricing, and a provider who actually knows your name.
Your Care Journey
From first visit to ongoing follow-up.
Here is what the process looks like from the day you book to your ongoing care.
Book your consultation
Schedule a New Patient Consultation online or by phone. Your first visit is 60–75 minutes — bring your questions and any recent labs or records.
Complete intake paperwork
Before your visit, you receive forms covering your medical history, current medications, supplements, and what you want to focus on.
Get a thorough evaluation
Your provider reviews your symptoms, lab history, medications, lifestyle factors, and prior care. This is not a complaint-specific visit — the whole picture matters.
Leave with a written care plan
You receive a plan with prioritized recommendations, any lab orders, follow-up timing, and clear next steps you can act on.
Follow up and adjust
Return for follow-up visits to review results, update your plan, and address new concerns. Membership patients can message between visits.
What Makes This Different
A different model, not a criticism of traditional care.

FAQ
Questions patients ask before their first visit.
What happens during the first visit?
Your New Patient Consultation is 60–75 minutes. Your provider reviews your medical history, current medications, symptoms, relevant lab work, and lifestyle factors. You leave with a written care plan that includes prioritized next steps and a follow-up timeline.
Do you take insurance?
No. Aster is a direct-pay practice — we do not bill insurance for office visits. This is what allows us to spend 60–75 minutes with new patients instead of 10–15. You may use HSA/FSA funds when eligible, and we can provide superbills you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your plan.
How do I know which service to book?
Start with a New Patient Consultation. Your provider will help you determine which care areas are relevant during that visit. You do not need to pick the right service before your first appointment.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes, for established patients. Telehealth is available for follow-up visits, lab reviews, and care plan check-ins. First visits are recommended in-person when possible so your provider can do a more thorough evaluation.
Your next step
Your first visit starts with a conversation.
