Why I started Aster Private Health

For twelve years, I worked in settings where I genuinely liked my patients but never had enough time with them. I would finish a visit knowing there were questions left unanswered, lab results that deserved a longer conversation, and symptoms that needed more context than a 12-minute slot could offer.

I did not start Aster because I think traditional medicine is broken. I started it because I wanted a practice where I could do the job the way it should be done — with enough time to listen, review the full picture, and explain things in plain language. The first visit here is 60–75 minutes. Follow-ups are 30–45 minutes. That is not extravagant. It is just enough.

This is not a concierge brand or an alternative medicine practice. It is primary care with more time, fewer patients, and a provider who actually knows your name.

Care Philosophy

How this practice actually works.

01

Enough time to actually listen

New patient visits are 60–75 minutes. Follow-ups are 30–45 minutes. That is not a luxury — it is the minimum needed to do a thorough job.

02

Decisions based on your situation

Lab work, history, symptoms, medications, and lifestyle all get reviewed. Recommendations are specific to you, not pulled from a generic protocol.

03

Follow-up that does not disappear

Care plans include a timeline. You come back, review progress, and adjust. This is not a one-visit relationship.

04

Plans you can actually do

Three realistic next steps are more useful than a 15-item list. Recommendations account for your schedule, preferences, and budget.

The Patient Experience

What visits actually look like here.

Visits that are not rushed

New patient consultations are 60–75 minutes. Follow-ups are 30–45 minutes. You will not be cut off mid-sentence because the next patient is waiting.

The same provider every time

You do not re-explain your history at every visit. Your provider already knows your medications, your concerns, and what you discussed last time.

Plain-language explanations

Lab results, care plans, and recommendations are explained clearly. If something is uncertain, your provider will say so.

Support between visits

Membership patients can use secure messaging for non-urgent questions, follow-up notes, and care coordination between appointments.
