In-depth hormone panels, clinical interpretation beyond generic reference ranges, and ongoing provider guidance for fatigue, mood, libido, and metabolic support. Consultation and labs required.
Benefits
Why people choose hormone optimization
Comprehensive hormone panel
Testing goes beyond basic screenings — we assess a full range of hormones, binding proteins, and metabolic markers for a complete picture.
Provider interpretation
Your results are reviewed by a licensed provider who interprets them in context — not against generic lab ranges, but relative to your symptoms and goals.
Personalized protocol
Every plan is built around your unique hormonal profile, lifestyle, and health objectives — never a one-size-fits-all template.
Ongoing monitoring
Quarterly labs and regular follow-ups ensure your protocol stays dialed in as your body responds and your goals evolve.
Fatigue, mood, and libido support
Address the root causes of low energy, irritability, brain fog, low drive, and emotional flatness through targeted hormone balancing.
Metabolic support
Hormonal imbalances often contribute to weight gain resistance, poor body composition, and sluggish metabolism — optimizing hormones can help.
What is hormone optimization?
Hormone optimization is a clinical approach to identifying and addressing hormonal imbalances that affect energy, mood, body composition, libido, cognition, and overall vitality. Rather than waiting for levels to reach "clinically deficient" thresholds, optimization focuses on restoring hormones to ranges where you feel and function your best.
At Lumen Health House, the process begins with a comprehensive hormone panel and an in-depth consultation with your provider. Together, you'll review results in the context of your symptoms, health history, and goals — then build a personalized plan that may include lifestyle interventions, nutraceuticals, or prescription-based therapies where medically appropriate.
This is not a quick fix. Hormone optimization is an ongoing clinical relationship with regular lab monitoring, protocol adjustments, and transparent communication between you and your provider at every step.
Your Optimization Path
From symptoms to a provider-guided plan.
Symptoms & Goals
Discuss what you're experiencing — fatigue, mood changes, low drive, metabolic shifts
Comprehensive Labs
Full hormone panel: testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, cortisol, DHEA, and metabolic markers
Provider Review
Detailed clinical interpretation of your results in context of your history and goals
Protocol Options
If appropriate, your provider discusses optimization approaches — bioidentical, peptide, or lifestyle-first
Monitoring
Follow-up labs at 90 days, ongoing adjustments, and regular provider check-ins
Hormone optimization requires clinical eligibility. Not all clients are candidates for hormone therapy. Your provider will only recommend a protocol if supported by labs, symptoms, and health history.

The Process
How hormone optimization works
-
Consultation
Meet with your provider to review symptoms, health history, goals, and determine eligibility for testing.
-
Comprehensive labs
A full hormone panel is drawn — including testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, DHEA, cortisol, and metabolic markers.
-
Results & protocol
Your provider interprets results in context, explains findings, and presents a personalized optimization plan.
-
Monitor & adjust
Quarterly labs and follow-up visits ensure your protocol remains effective and your levels stay optimized.
What to expect
Before
Complete your intake forms and health questionnaire. Fasting may be required for certain lab panels — your team will provide specific instructions before your visit.
During
Your initial visit includes a blood draw for comprehensive hormone testing and a 45–60 minute provider consultation to discuss your symptoms, history, and goals.
After
Results are typically available within 5–7 days. A follow-up visit reviews findings and launches your personalized protocol. You'll have ongoing access to your provider for questions.
Safety, eligibility, and important disclosures
A consultation and lab work are required before any hormone optimization protocol is initiated. Prescription-based services require medical eligibility determined through clinical assessment.
- Eligibility may depend on your health history, medications, lab results, and provider review.
- Hormone therapy (including testosterone, peptides, and other prescription protocols) is only prescribed when clinically appropriate and safe for the individual.
- Not all clients will qualify for prescription-based interventions. Your provider will discuss all available options transparently.
- Results vary by individual. Hormone optimization is a process — changes typically develop over weeks to months, not days.
- Ongoing lab monitoring is required for all prescription-based hormone protocols to ensure safety and efficacy.
- This service is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. It is a clinical wellness service provided under licensed provider supervision.

Hormone Optimization FAQ
What hormones are tested?
Our comprehensive panel typically includes total and free testosterone, estradiol, DHEA-S, thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4), cortisol, SHBG, progesterone, and metabolic markers like fasting insulin and HbA1c. Your provider may add or adjust based on your specific symptoms.
Do I need labs before starting?
Yes. Lab work is required before any protocol is initiated. We need a clear baseline to make safe, data-driven clinical decisions. If you have recent labs from another provider, we may be able to use those — bring them to your consultation.
Does this include testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)?
It can, for clients who qualify. TRT is one option among many and is only prescribed when labs, symptoms, and health history indicate it is clinically appropriate and safe. Not all clients will qualify or need TRT.
Is hormone optimization safe?
When guided by comprehensive labs and an experienced provider, hormone optimization is considered safe for most adults. Ongoing monitoring is essential. Your provider will discuss risks, benefits, and alternatives specific to your situation during your consultation.
How long until I see results?
Most clients notice initial changes (energy, sleep, mood) within 4–8 weeks. Full optimization often takes 3–6 months of protocol refinement. Hormone optimization is a process, not an overnight fix — patience and consistency matter.
